Mexican-American Baseball in Los Angeles: From
the Barrios to the Big Leagues,
a touring exhibition sponsored by the
Baseball Reliquary and John F. Kennedy Memorial
Library, California State University, Los
Angeles. Artworks, artifacts, photographs, and
oral histories are utilized to document and
interpret the historic role that baseball has
played as a cohesive element and as a social and
cultural force within the Mexican-American
communities of Los Angeles County. A grand
opening reception, with guest speakers, will be
held at the LATTC Library on Saturday, October
21, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Los Angeles Trade
