Another Trip in Baseball’s Time Machine: Photography at the Field of Dreams, an exhibition which highlights the dynamic relationship between photography and baseball from the game’s formative years to the modern era. For this display, the Baseball Reliquary has invited historians, authors, curators, librarians, and artists to contribute their “favorite” baseball photograph from any time period, along with a caption/description explaining why the image holds such personal interest and meaning. Also included in the exhibition is a portfolio of 25 historic black-and-white baseball photographs from The Rucker Archive. Pasadena Central Library (Humanities Wing, Business Wing, and Centennial Room), 285 E. Walnut St., Pasadena, CA. Free admission. The Baseball Reliquary presents William Robert Steele’s Ebbets Field Replica, an exhibition of Jackie Robinson paintings (including Michael Guccione’s acclaimed “Jackie Robinson Icon”), and a display of Negro Leagues memorabilia. Jackie Robinson Center, 1020 N. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, CA. Free admission. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am-9:00 pm; Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm; closed weekends (open by reservation).
