          An all-star comedy benefit will launch the 2005 Major League Baseball season in uproarious style on Tuesday, March 29, at 8:00 PM, at the Hollywood Improv, 8162 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, California. All proceeds from ticket sales, which are $25.00 per person, will go to support the Baseball Reliquary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering an appreciation of American art and culture through the context of baseball history.
          A star-studded roster of comedians who have distinguished themselves for years in stand-up, television, radio, film, and theater will take its swings at the grand old game. Those performing baseball-related routines, anecdotes, and impersonations will include Fred Willard, Jack Riley, George Wendt, Ronnie Schell, Greg Proops, Dom Irrera, John Caponera, John Mendoza, Andy Kindler, Wayne Federman, Tom Tully, and others.
          Tickets for $25.00 (two-item minimum not included) are now on sale. Doors open for dinner seating at 6:00 PM; diners get priority seating. Showroom seating begins at 7:30 PM, one-half hour before showtime.
