Lou Darvas: Mickey Grasso Original artwork by Lou Darvas, part of the Baseball Reliquary’s exhibition "The Interior Diamond: Baseball and the Arts."   (Click to view larger image.)

A selection of historic baseball photographs from the archives of the Baseball Reliquary, along with contemporary work by Larry Goren, will also be on display. The first public viewing of a tortilla which bears an uncanny resemblance to the late Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers owner Walter O’Malley, now part of the Baseball Reliquary’s permanent collections, will be another highlight of this unique exhibition.

“The Interior Diamond: Baseball and the Arts” may be viewed daily from July 1-August 31, 2001 at the Pasadena Central Library, 285 East Walnut Street, Pasadena, California. Library hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM; Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.

The series The Interior Diamond: Baseball and the Arts is made possible in part by a grant from LIVE! @ your library, an initiative of the American Library Association, with major support from the National Endowment for the Arts, Lila Wallace-Reader’s Digest Fund, and John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
